Sanjay Dutt looks old and plays Aditya’s father. Wish I had read a few reviews before going for this pain in the ….head. The songs are boring, The acting is pitiable. This carries on till the end of the movie where varun sacrifices his life to save the other two. There is a love triangle now between Aalia, Aditya and Varun. What has come to the screen is a mashup of stupid scenes. Somewhere during the making of this movie, the director and the author lost track of what they originally wanted to make. She could do with some acting skills though. Sonakshi Sinha plays another needless character. In the movie, she lives in a big house and apparently is an accomplished danseuse. There are a few characters in this movie who don’t know why they are there. Woe to the person who paid big bucks to watch this movie.
He looks like he is trying to ape Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bacchan and a few other heroes all at the same time. Varun who plays the a Muslim, hams throughout the movie. Inshort the story then meanders with Aalia falling in love with Varun Dhawan. The man Aditya Roy Kapoor (very stoic expression throughout the movie) still loves his first wife. Apparently the first wife, Sonakshi Sinha is terminally ill with some disease which we are not told about. She becomes his 2nd wife and the one who arranges this marriage is the mans first wife.
There is Aalia Bhatt who gets married to a rich man’s son in pre- partition Pakistan. Well the characters keep doing some non nonsensical activity throughout the duration of the movie. So here goes…I had the misfortune to watch Kalank.
